Ordered this to go with crown oak veneered MDF (separate review given). Well packaged. No instructions but further internet search revealed useful advice. Cut to 1cm over length needed either end. Iron set to wool+ setting. Clean white paper to separate iron from edging. Gentle pressure with enough time to melt glue. Once ironed excellent grab with even adhesion and no gap anywhere (greatly improved from iron-on edging supplied for melamine boards many years ago). After a few minutes cooling, fresh craft knife used from adhesive side onto a wooden base to remove redundant strip ends. Gentle light hand sanding with block along grain with reducing grades to remove lengthwise redundant veneer. Final sanding at same time as main veneer. Very good result and good colour / grain match for main veneer. For my application used 3 coats of acrylic matt varnish (excellent match for 'satin' finish of original furnishing shelves). (From searches other techniques or tools can be used - I suspect machine sanding might be too rough.)
