Our Cut-To-Size Accoya Timber is a world-leading, long-life wood material that is incredibly stable, resistant to rot and sustainable. It is also suitable for a range of different applications, including water immersion. In producing Accoya® wood, the chemical structure of the wood is modified from the surface to the core in a process called acetylation, providing class-leading durable and exceptionally stable product.
In its appearance Accoya® wood is similar to pine in colour and grain pattern although some pieces may have a darker, dusky appearance. Accoya® wood comes with a manufactures warranty (subject to terms and conditions; see below) that guarantees against rot and excess movement for 50 years outside (class 1, 2 & 3) and 25 years in the ground or immersed in fresh water (class 4).
Benefits:
Highly durable - Accoya Colour cladding boards withstand the test of time, whatever the weather or climate

Performance and style – Bespoke profiles and ultimate design freedom offers endless possibilities
No coatings needed - Beautifully coloured from surface to the core, no coatings are required

Accoya® works well, similar to walnut and maple in nature, takes glues(1) and a wide range of finishings(2). Accoya® wood can be fixed in the same way as other commonly used softwood species and the same general rules regarding pre-drilling, countersinking and keeping sufficient distance from the edges should be applied. Like most durable woods, Accoya® contains a small amount of acid. It is therefore strongly recommended that corrosion resistant fixings, such as high quality stainless steel, are used.
Pre-machined cladding and decking are available; please contact us for details click here.
(1) In general Accoya® can be glued using most commonly used wood adhesive systems. Particularly good results are obtained with polyurethane (PU), emulsion polymer isocyanate (EPI), epoxy and phenol resorcinol formaldehyde (PRF) adhesives. The results of gluing with polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and melamine urea formaldehyde (MUF) can vary greatly. See general information [click here]
(2) Accoya® wood may be finished with semi and non-film-forming paint systems such as stains and oils. It is recommended to follow manufacturer’s instructions and for both cases to apply multiple coats and follow maintenance intervals as prescribed by the coating manufacturer. Note that the first layer of some oil based products tend to get absorbed by the Accoya® wood more quickly. See general information [click here]

Bought this to replace rotten wood supports under fuel tank on a Morgan Sports Car. Brilliant easy to work & hopefully will last a lot longer than the original boards.

I am happy with the quality of the product I received and the condition it was in. It was well secured and protected from being damaged in transit. I payed to have it cut to exact measurements, a job well done, they were spot-on. It will save me a lot of effort, it is well worth the money,

Schoolkids, for centuries, have been soaking their conkers in vinegar and baking them to make them tougher. Well, it seems they were on to something. This acetylated softwood is amazingly strong and stable, and if the manufacturer's claims are borne out, should last for donkey's years. The next 50-odd years should tell...
